Rooms

  You stand at the apex of the ice where it meets the rock and find

yourself enclosed on nearly all sides by the final few meters of mountainous

slopes.  Here, on a good day, you can see clear across to the easter waters

of the coast and to the south the sprawling expanse of the Forbidden Forest

in the distance below.  At night, in the furthest most horizon to the

southwest, the torch-lights of the human city of Nordmaar break through the

black like stars on the ground below.  There is a convergence of the

surrounding mountains that leads to an opening in the earth, a secret place,

closed away in this harsh environment, and while you cannot peer into the

dark viel of its entrance, you do feel the undeniable sensation of slight

warmth escaping through to the outside.
