The River

Description

  The river moves along slowly through here.  It is fairly shallow in some

spots and there is a gentle rise to the north into the grasslands.  The

southerly walls of the river are too steep and muddy to traverse.  The water

is murky, making it impossible to tell what might be moving around under the

seemingly placid surface.  The river flows on to the northeast and in from

the northwest.

Description

  A thick veil of mist fills the river bed here, from the rapids.  The

white crests of the waves can sometimes be seen breaking above the mist,

before they crash back underneath and send up a new spray of water.  The

water is crashing down the river to the north and seems to be collecting in

a lake of some sort to the southeast.
