The Drawbridge

Description

  The drawbridge rattles as you cross towards the raised portcullis.  Two

men in shining plate_armor stand guard against enemies of the Keep, wary and

attentive to duty.  The Keep rises above you, and as you look up, you can

see guards upon the walls and watching from the towers.

     A sturdy iron lever is beside the archway supporting the portcullis.

     A large wheel is beside the drawbridge.

Description

  The sound of your feet against the wooden drawbridge that you walk upon

echoes against the stone walls of the fortress and the dark water of the

moat that is lapping against the walls.  Then suddenly, small rings appear

on the surface, so something is alive down there.  A heavy and dangerous

looking portcullis is built in to the archway to the north.
