Wrapping around a large basalt column in the center of the spire, a

staircase made of gray marble spirals upwards into the tower. Sconces

placed at odd intervals around the inside walls hold torches that burn

dimly. The base of the tower seems devoid of furniture or decoration. A

strange smell permeates the air around you and you long for fresh air once

again. You hear a moan echo through the spire.
