Description
Thick walls of heavy stone thrust upward toward the heavens, their sheer size and height impressing an enormity of presence within the cavernous space of the temple. The walls have been detailed in multiple forms, a combination of intricate carving and masterfully painted murals shifting in mixed patters around the entirity of the chamber. Marbled columns rise upward before each wall, their positions divided evenly around the temple, and each one shared on one side by an opening into a seperate room, and on the other by an exquisitely detailed statue of a god of the darker pantheon. The ceiling itself is hidden from sight in the height of the temple. What is visible above is an unknown mass that seems to shift constantly. A roiling form of some kind that flickers in and out of view as it moves. The floor is of polished marble, or so it appears. Rotating lines carved into the stone surface shape unrecognizable patterns around the chamber, leading toward one central point. Upon that point sits an enormous altar, constructed and carved of bone, and lined at the corners with what seem to be odd drains, their edges running down to the lines in the floor below.
