Description

  A massive pillar of stone shoots up from the ground here, its faces

untouched by mortal hands.  Unscalable, this natural monolith casts its

massive shadow about the bowl of this wasteland like a natural sundial. 

Scraggly, brown plants cling to the few areas of permanent shade around it,

despite the oppresive heat that is found even there.
