Rooms

A wide rough-hewn grotto spans out before a circular descent along an

ancient earthen staircase set with slabs of worn black marble. A strong

pervasive and unnatural chill rises throughout its hallowed grounds but the

sandy floor is bone dry and the cavern's resonant depths, eerily silent.

Rows of ancient granite-bound tombs span the walls, nearly enclosing a

primitive ritual altar lined with black candles, upon which is set a small

book podium. On the ground, risen like scars around the altar, are a series

of black abyssal symbols that pulse malevolently. Crude tunnels span off in

three cardinal directions, more tombs leading off into the black depths.

Ancient and sinister symbols and runes, long worn with time but still etched

deeply, span various surfaces along the tomb faces, tunnel walls and floor

in faded patterns.
