The foot of the mountains offer little respite from the ruination caused

by the Red Moon's descent. Shattered standards covered in crimson dust lie

broken on the cracked earth, and shattered shields and abandoned blades are

cast about as though scattered leaves by the horrific force of the broken

moon shard's descent. A dim glow emanates from the sand of the fallen piece

of the Moon, a baleful glow that leeches the vitality from the world beneath

the deeply-rooted corruption that burst forth in the wake of war. To the

south, a spike of moonstone towers over the wastes, a lesser piece of the

greater mass pulled earthward.

Sprawling out in every direction, the lunite wastes in the wake of the

fallen moonshard glow with a baleful light. The battlefield is now a site

of ruin, new formations in the earth born of the cataclysmic descent of the

Red Moon's broken fragment. Small though it is, the consequences of its

landing are earthshattering, creating small ravines and dunes of lunar sand

that spread from the foot of Fort Ironclad's walls to the south to the

mountains on the northern horizon. To the east, a larger spur of selenic

stone erupts from the earth as though a monument to the desolation.
