A hidden passage

Description

  It would appear that you found a the source of the blood trail. 

Splattered all over the ground, you see what, at one time, appeared to be a

fury white goblin like creature.  Now it was nothing more than a pancake of

squashed guts and gore.  Has to make you wonder how it got this far and what

finally did it in.  Obviously it dragged itself to this point, but not in

the condition it now lies in.  Something must have crushed it.  What do you

suppose that rumbling is coming from above?

A hidden passage

Description

  Huge piles of crushed boulders fill this room.  It would seem they all

have broken on the far wall as if they had rolled in from the very tunnel

you just left.  Some of them are covered in a dried red liquid, looking very

much like blood.  You also see what appears to be a dismembered hand

partially sticking out of what could only be a trap door.  I guess the

victim didn't have a chance to get in all the way before the boulder forced

the door closed.  Perhaps you can dig around the door and pry it back open. 

Another question starts to nag at your conscience, why would such a trap

exist?  I mean, what is it that is being kept out, or rather what is it that

is being kept in?
