Rooms

  Pine trees have been cut back from the side of the lane, creating room

for a parked wagon and a few makeshift picnic tables.  The clearing is

sheltered from the noise and traffic of the trade road to the north.  A

couple of dusty travelers sit on stools, eating at a table that used to be a

door.  



The wagon itself is nothing special.  It is a sturdy, well-used,

much-repaired farm wagon.  Clots of dirt cling to the big wooden wheels and

the bottom of the wagon is spattered with dried mud.  A bored ox has been

tied to a nearby tree.  



The life of the camp centers around a portable cook-stove and an incredibly

old gnome woman working with copper pots and a big cast-iron frying pan.
